THE GHOST AND THE DARKNESS

The Ghost and the Darkness
Synopsis In the late nineteenth century, an engineer (Val Kilmer) goes to Africa to build a bridge, but ends up stumbling upon two lions killers who terrorize the workers, because many victims are made and even with the arrival of an experienced hunter (Michael Douglas), the killings continue.

My Comment: According to the film itself, the events that occur in the film is based on real events. Muslims from Africa who lived that situation believed in a spiritual force that prevented the costruction railroad from proceeding. I believe in many demonic and angelic forces vying for space with men, things still could not understand, but that these forces exert certain influences on living beings and inanimate, and men often find themselves facing challenges unknown, but the insistence often men have won many of those battles. As a historian I know there are thousands of inexplicable things in history, and the story told in this film is just one more that goes unanswered. (By: Valdemir Mota de Menezes, the Scribe)

A SOMBRA E A ESCURIDÃO
